ATTICA — Irma K. (Thayer) Oland, 84, Attica, died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. She was born Nov. 1, 1922 in Tab, the daughter of Fred Finley and Mildred (Kochell) Thayer. She was raised in Warren County where she attended school. She had lived most of her life in Attica. She formerly worked at Radio Material Corp. and later for Buckley True Value Store in Attica. She retired from C & D Battery in Attica. Survivors include: three daughters, Claudette (Jerry) Jean, Attica, Susie (Phil) Rolf, Jamestown, and Claudine “Deanie” (John, deceased) Eberhart, Shelbyville; a son Robert (Jo) Oland, Marshall, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Evelyn Crane, Okah VanHyfte and Violet Ice; two brothers, Fred and James Thayer; and a grandson, Dirk Eberhart. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Bob Elness officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
